Bring Madeleine L’Engle’s Newbery Medal winning children’s book to life! Meg Murry’s whole life changes in a flash of the fierce storm that brings the curious Mrs. Whatsit through her door. Whatsit through her door. Things at school and at home haven’t been easy for the teen ever since the mysterious disappearance of her father 2 years prior. With the help of Mrs. Whatsit and her friends, Meg and her brilliant little brother, Charles Wallace, embark on a daring rescue mission through time and space to free their father from evil forces.

The Jazz Fly (Ages 5-6 yrs)

Take a walk with the fly that hears jazz in every interaction and inspires us to be inventive! Meeting various characters as he goes, the fly makes his way to town asking for directions along the way. Hearing “Rrribit” from the frog and “Oink” from the hog, the fly creates his own new musical jazz solo and performs it that very night. A winner of the Benjamin Franklin Award for Excellence in Publishing and a Smithsonian Notable Book for Children, this inspiring story will captivate your children!

In this production-based weekly program, our students will have the hands-on learning opportunity to dig into a vast range of design elements from scene construction, scenic painting, props, costumes, stage management, and marketing. Discover what it takes working behind the scenes to make great productions come to life with projects directly related to our spring production of A Wrinkle in Time. This is a great follow up to our summer Stagecraft Camp!

Costume Design
Act • Sing • Dance • Perform
Students will experience all of the introductory elements of hands-on costume design and constructions. You’ll even get the chance to have your clothes and designs used in our production of A Wrinkle in Time! Learn the basic of drawing, color theory, draping, and hand sewing.
