Neighborhood Music School is proud to introduce our Youth Orchestra program. Our mission is to elevate the talents of our budding musical artists and further inspire their studies in a fun and friendly learning environment. Seasoned teachers with years of professional orchestral experience will lead each session and performance.
The Neighborhood Music School Youth Orchestra will offer several ensembles from very beginner to intermediate level. An entrance audition is required to assist in grouping students according to skill and age. Students begin in a basic strings ensemble and advance to a more robust orchestra that includes brass, harp, percussion and piano soloists.

- Violin – French Horn

ORCHESTRA
Prelude Strings
1st Session : September 11-December 11, Wednesday 5:45 – 6:30 pm, Cost $210
2nd Session : January 8-March 18, Wednesday 5:45 – 6:30 pm, Cost $180
*Requirements:
-Play one octave major scales C, G, D, F
-Know all first position notes
-Read music
-Play a solo equivalent to Suzuki Books level 1-22

Chamber Strings
1st Session : September 11-December 12, Wednesday 7:30 – 8:15 pm, Cost $210
2nd Session : January 8-March 18, Wednesday 7:30 – 8:15 pm Cost $180
*Requirements:
-Play two octave major scales C, G, D, F
-Play in 1st/3rd positions (violin/viola)
-1st/4th positions (cello)
-Read music
-Play a solo equivalent to Suzuki Books level 3
